Fantastic optical compressor! The DOD 280 has been a mainstay on my board for years, the closest thing I have to an "Always on" pedal. It can do your classic compressor squish, but it's surprisingly transparent when compression is set halfway or below. 99% of my use-case was evening out peaks and bringing up soft notes, evening out the sound without changing it, and it is outstanding at that.
A while back, DOD discontinued the 280, so I bought this one as a backup in case my main compressor ever died. Recently though, the 280 got a well-deserved reissue, so a backup isn't needed anymore. I still use mine every day, but now this one can go to someone else so they can enjoy this pedal!
