We currently have in the shop one of the rarest guitars Gibson ever built in 1961 — the EDS-1275 in a stunning black finish. This double-cutaway model features a carved two-piece spruce top along with laminated maple back and sides.
In essence, this instrument combines two ES-335-style guitars from the legendary late '50s to early '60s era — one in a 6-string version, the other in a 12-string — both with a solid carved spruce top. Only seven of these were produced in 1961 as special customer orders.
Gibson built this version of the EDS-1275 from 1958 to 1961. In 1962, the model transitioned to the well-known SG-style body shape.
The guitar is coming with the original case.
Have a look in the photo section and see both profiles for each type 6 and 12 string.
This guitar is, apart from some minor changes, original.
This guitar comes with EU cites I.
