RCA 1950 Tube 7" Singles Stacker / Radio - Serviced

Tube RCA 7" Single Record Changer and FM / AM Radio Furniture - SERVICED!

In 1950 7" Single Records were the greatest Hit and thus RCA decided to put this technology into a piece of furniture to make it the main attraction in the living room. It is a vacuum tube based amplifier with a big speaker and FM AM tube Radio. FM was fairly new at the time. Then there was no stereo at the time, so it is mono. You will fall in LOVE with it, to give single records and radio listening that much space in your living quarters - I did (!), so I started to restore it. It was completely dead and needed A LOT of tender loving WORK - About $950 worth of labor and parts went so far into it! Working Condition: How far did I get? The amplifier works perfectly and sounds great (!) - completely restored (!) - The 7" singles record changer reliably works, but sounds a bit warbly, as I did not have access to a good idler wheel at the time. The Radio works (a lot of time went into that), both AM (if I remember correctly) and FM - FM receives well at low frequencies, but reception fades away when going up - if tuning higher than 92 MHz no longer receives - as at the time I could not find good high voltage radio capacitors.

Physical Condition: typical age related signs of age and use, such as scratches, dings, discoloration and other defects, but overall condition is good.

Price: $275 as described above, or: $495 if I bring the singles record changer up to work perfectly - The radio can be a bottom less pit, as it is hard to find the needed parts and may require very time involved work, so my estimate would be $1700 with both singles changer and radio fully working. Alternative considerations: Add BlueTooth and you can feed modern sound sources, including radio or your internet playlist to it - price depends on what you will need - to be discussed - and I can shoot more photos -> INQUIRE.
