2005 Fender FSR Deluxe Vintage Player ‘62 Stratocaster in Ice Blue Metallic Thin Skin Lacquer Finish With Factory Matching Headstock!
Absolutely unbelievably cool and RARE!
Factory 9.5 Radius, 22 Medium Jumbo Frets, Sumarium Cobolt Noisless Pickups, all sorts of tone capabilities!
The good: Super rare, one of very few Wildwood Spec guitars. Vintage look and feel with modern playability. Includes letter from Fender verifying the model, explaining the pickup switching configuration, style of capacitors, tone settings and S-1 Switch modes.
The bad: Original owner has a collection of 70’s Strats and was obsessed with neck pocket fit. Because of this he decided to over-tighten the neck screws one day so a piece of finish on the body heel at the back of the neck pocket flaked off and was reattached with glue (see photo). Can not be seen from the front or unless you are looking for it. Tuning machines were replaced with locking units but have since been changed back to the original Fender/Gotoh machines it came with. No extra screw holes but there are slight impressions on the headstock face from the washers installed with the previous machines. Also, the Fender logo is flaking a bit. Typical with Matching Headstock Strats.
