Michael Cone began making Classical Guitars in the 1960's by 1968 he was at it full-time in New Vineyard, Maine and had made well over several dozen by the early 1970's, and now constructs them in Maui, Hawaii.
This notable American Luthier in the 1970's was the favorite maker of the virtuosos: recording and TV artist from 1945-1962 Jose Rey de la Torre (1917-1994) (Miguel Llobet student in Barcelona 1932-1934) and George Sakellariou (There are several audios by this virtuoso on Michael's site.).

About 20 years ago, Michael Cone, walked into my previous location, and bought one of his pre owned guitars.
