Up for sale is this vintage circa 1946 Gibson ES-150. This is a very nice, player grade example of a script-logo Gibson guitar that won't break the bank...

This guitar is mostly original, with the exception of the nut, the tailpiece, end pin, and the tuner buttons. The original P90, pickguard, tuning keys, and bridge are all intact. Cosmetically, the instrument looks great exhibiting a ton of weather checking and authentic wear from over the years. There are numerous dings, scuffs, and scratches, but nothing that affects anything beyond the eyes.

This one has had a side repair at some point where it recieved an input jack crack. A large portion of the treble side of the body was cut out, patched, and painted black. It's not the worst repair that we've ever seen, but it's not the most cosmetically pleasing in the light. That being said, it's on the side (out of sight...) and is completely stable. The end pin

Our tech has just checked this one out and gave it a clean bill of health. It is currently set up with heavier strings and sounds great. The action is low and comfortable all the way up the neck and the chunky neck that these instruments are known for in this era feels great. The original frets are a bit low, but still retain plenty of life.

A period hardshell case is included and may be original, but we can't say for sure. The case is in good condition for its age, but does show pretty heavy wear from protecting the instrument over the years. All of the latches and hinges are present and work as they should. The instrument will be well-packed inside and out to ensure safe shipping.

Overall, a great example of a script-logo Gibson with some "issues" that keep it affordable. What more can you ask for?
