Vintage ES-335 killer from Yamaha. The SA-1200s has a spruce (!) top, two splittable humbuckers, and is just a great guitar all around. Old Yamahas are secretly the best guitars made in their era.
Phenomenal guitar with phenomenal sounds. There are some really great tones from mixing the pickups etc.
Comes in at 7lbs 9.8oz on the kitchen scale.
Some minor dings and playwear from 40+ years of guitar life. There is some finish fogging/hazing (typical for these guitars of this era) on the heel, back and front but it's difficult to capture in photos – and it really depends on the angle in real life. Fretboard has some lightening from play. (Easily addressed with conditioning etc; it never bothered me). Please (please!) contact me if you'd like more info / photos / videos or more info about the finish conditions. I'm happy to oblige with whatever I can provide (even setting a zoom call or whatever), but note that this guitar is sold as described. It's an amazing guitar.
Includes cool old case (not sure if it's original) which is solid but has rust on hardware and peeling tolex at the seams. Solid otherwise.
Linked video attempts to show the finish issues. As you'll see, it's really hard to capture (or even see most of the time) the slight finish fog (other than on the neck heel), but I want to be sure there are no surprises.
Only selling because I’m sticking with the specific but familiar Rickenbacker and Jaguar tones
