Up for sale is a 21" Cymbal Craftsman Overhammered Ride, handcrafted by Paul Francis, the legendary cymbalsmith behind Cymbal Craftsman and formerly of Zildjian. This cymbal comes from the very first batch delivered to Maxwell Drums in Chicago in late 2022, making it not just a great player, but a cool piece of modern cymbal history.

This one has the magic—a blend of crisp stick definition, a dry and complex wash, and beautifully dark, musical tones. I feel that it sits somewhere between a Bounce/Overhammered and Dry Complex lines—both of which I also own—so it overlaps a bit with cymbals I already have in rotation.

I absolutely love this cymbal, and the only reason I’m letting it go is because Paul made me a full custom set. If you're looking to own something truly special, this is a fantastic opportunity.

Condition: Excellent. Lightly played with no cracks, keyholing, or edge issues—just natural signs of careful use.

Price: Pretty firm. This isn’t a fire sale—I’m just trying to trim down a little.
