Built in collaboration with Gibson Custom, this model offers a stage- and studio-ready instrument that honors the J-180 legacy while remaining accessible to modern players.
Its thermally aged Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany body produce a commanding yet balanced voice, with clear articulation and plenty of dynamic headroom — ideal for strummers, singer-songwriters, and acoustic rockers. The long-scale mahogany neck paired with a laurel fingerboard feels fast and comfortable, while the mother-of-pearl star inlays deliver the unmistakable J-180 aesthetic. With an L.R. Baggs Bronze Piezo pickup and Element Bronze VTC preamp system, the J-180 LS ensures your tone translates with natural clarity when amplified. Finished in Frost Blue and paired with a Gibson-style “open book” headstock, this model blends heritage, style, and performance into a guitar built to inspire.
