Created in 1955 by Robert Carrée, the R13 clarinet quickly established itself in the United States and still enjoys unprecedented success today. It presents a centered sound rich in harmonics. Its projection is powerful in all registers and thanks to its flexibility it is suitable for all repertoires: symphony or chamber music, soloists, teachers, military orchestras, students or amateurs.
This instrument was manufactured in 1955 according to it's serial number. It does show some wear from use. There is a repaired, superficial crack in the upper joint. It looks as if the bell has been replaced at some point
