This is a 1966 Gibson B-25 12 String Acoustic Guitar in Cherry Sunburst finish. It features a solid mahogany body and neck, and a rosewood fretboard. This vintage guitar comes with its original hard-shell case and some accessories. Made in the United States as part of the Vintage series, this right-handed guitar has been professionally restored by Gibson Repair and Restoration in 2008 and is ready to play. The case original and falling apart at the seams, but it has been kept in it since I can remember as a child. I am including a full set of D'Addario 12 string guitar strings, a few extra strings, some picks, and a humidifier for storage.
History on the Make and Model:
The B-45-12, a 12-string edition guitar introduced in 1961, was the first B-45 model guitar available and the first B series overall. The B-45-12 had a mahogany body and neck, spruce top, rosewood fingerboard, and a cherry sunburst finish, and was made with "round" shoulders for the 1961 – 1962 model year and "square" shoulders until the end of its production in 1979. Starting in 1963, the B-45-12-N was also available as a natural finish edition
History of this Actual Guitar:
I am the 2nd owner of this guitar as it was my grandfathers and was given to me in 2008. I remember this guitar as a child and how it was mostly seen sitting in its case, which is included in pretty beat up condition, but it kept it in relatively great shape, and barely played during my childhood. I sent this guitar directly to Gibson Repair & Restoration in 2008, with the workorder and my notes from the complete restoration which cost about $1,648. I have kept it in the case with a hydrometer (included) and played it sparingly since 2008, only busting it out to tune it, which it rarely needed. I am considering selling this superb playing and sounding guitar, if the offer is right, as I'm hoping someone can use it more to give it another life. I am putting a high starting price and will consider all reasonable offers. Thanks for looking.
History of the Gibson full Restoration:
Fully restored by Gibson with the paperwork I received when it was completed in 2008 shortly after I was given the guitar shown in pictures with the exact details on what was done and how much it cost me. The original tailpiece and nut are included. My final payment for this service was $1,648 on 8/27/2008. The breakdown is as follows:
NECK: Nut - replace

BODY: Back, Structure, Bridge/Saddle - Repair
FINGERBOARD: Plane/Re-fret
SETUP: Clean and polish frets/fingerboard, Condition fingerboard, New Strings, Check nut slot height, Adjust string height, Adjust truss rod, Set intonation, Clean and polish finish
COMMENTS: Reglue loose bridge, repair two loose back braces, stabilize crack at neck heel & touch up finish. Plane/Re-fret/New Nut. Install new tailpiece, Setup.
