The Wooly Coats Extra Spanky is 3rd Power’s American voiced amplifier with a ton of tone shaping options. In addition to the standard tone controls (Treble, Middle, Bass) there are also mini toggle switches that boost or change the character of each frequency band.
The 6VEL technology allows for use of multiple power tube types, including 6V6, 6L6, and EL34. The amp is solid state rectified and includes bias testing and adjustment points right on the back panel.
The amp runs about 35W with the included 6L6 power tubes, or about 20W when running 6V6 tubes.
All of this adds up to an incredibly versatile amplifier that is great for practice, recording, or shows of any size.
