Sony ECM 270 Electret Condensor microphone pair. Sony perfected this technology in the 60s and released a number of microphones, some that were capable of phantom power, and others like these which were powered by a standard 1.5 v battery. These are essentially the same as the studio grade microphones that were used to record John Lennon's acousic guitar on his last album. Sound great. Output is 200 ohms. I have sold many sony ecm microphones and if you check my feedback they have all received 5 star ratings including this model. Because these were intended with tape deck use, there is a 1/4 connector on one cable. There is none on the other. Needs proper xlr plugs, but work fine. I will add these plugs soon, but there will be an increase in price. great bang for the buck for non audio snobs that are interested in sound over brand prestige.
