The Ibanez JEM series was born out of a collaboration between Steve Vai and Ibanez in the late 1980s, resulting in one of the most iconic shred guitars of all time. Released in 1987, the JEM was designed to push technical boundaries with its innovative features, bold aesthetics, and unmatched playability.

The JEM777, introduced in 1988, was part of the first wave of JEM models that solidified Vai’s signature style, featuring the instantly recognizable monkey grip, pyramid inlays, and a highly contoured body for effortless upper-fret access.

This 1988 Ibanez JEM777 in Desert Sun Yellow has seen a lot of rock during the years and has the marks to prove it. Featuring a maple fingerboard with pyramid inlays, the guitar has visible wear on the fretboard and back of the body, particularly around the tremolo cavity, but the frets are in excellent condition. Weight is 3700g. Comes with a non-original case.

A true 80s shred machine with unmistakable style, and a fast appreciating classic.
