Maxon 01 Series pedals were made in the mid 80s and sold to the Japan domestic market. This is a handy and powerful little bass-specific compressor; properly used this this can really beef things up while smoothing out the bass signal.
This is a rare compressor back from an era when the term "bass compressor" did not exist.
Personally cleaned and tested, works great. Cosmetically, parts of the exterior have scratches consistent with a pedal from the 80's that got some decent use.
Attack: controls how fast the compressor responds to a peak in the input signal.
Sustain: controls the amount of compression.
Level: controls the output volume.
