"For the larger digital audio workstation or facility, the integrity of word clock, and its distribution to multiple destinations, has become a major issue. As an answer to this, Lucid Audio has developed a range of units that help multiple clock-reliant sources keep their digital audio streams in sync. The CLKx6, an audio clock distribution amplifier, is used to distribute sync information to six different destinations. In AES mode, the unit can provide a word clock or super clock format (either one or the other, but not both simultaneously,) to the six parallel outputs. In word clock mode, the input signal is mapped directly to the outputs through a series of buffers. The unit has a single switch on the front panel that selects either the WORD/SUPER clock, or AES input"
