PaulE Drums 'The Art Of Percussion' Bon-E 'Poplar' Jingle Block with bag 2024 - Oil Rubbed

The PaulE Drums 'Bon-E' is the most versatile accessory ever to be attached to the top of a hi-hat because it's both a ching-ring and a wood-block! With a hi hat clutch through the center it gives added 'ching' on your hi hat when you step on your pedal, plus use it as a block and hit it with your wooden stick or mallet, or both. Without a clutch you can also use it as a handheld percussion instrument by shaking it or hitting it with a mallet or wooden stick(not composite sticks as they can damage the wood). The head is my trademark five-ply 1/4” Baltic Birch and the stave frame can be made from a large variety of hardwoods, this one is made of Cedar. The original 'Bon-E' is round with a 6" diameter and eight sets of jingles that can be changed and customised for a variety of tones and textures. This model comes with machine made Nickel plated Steel jingles made by Mid-East Percussion and comes with a tote carry bag. Each Bon-E is numbered and no two are exactly alike because they are hand shaped and sanded individually.
John Bonham was my inspiration for the 'Bon-E' because he was the first drummer I saw using a metal ching-ring, thus the name 'Bon-E'. Then I created my design with my trademark Baltic Birch ply head and stave frame to make the 'Bon-E' the most versatile hi-hat accessory available.
