Real Canadian Trash...

Here is a 1960s 5 watter from Canada's famed Montreal builder, Pineco. Pineco, like the Japanese guitar builders of the era had the charming habit of branding their amps all kinds of ways like Pepco, Lifco, Paul and Regal. This is one of the rarer branded Regals. It's scuffed and loved and has some discoloration on the tolex and grill clothe.

These little bastard amps are unkillable. We love them and we have tried! It's 5 watt pure tube with an 8" field speaker. Everything is original. It has a simple Supro/Harmony style circuit with a tone and volume control and three input jacks (accordion, guitar, harmonica). These are beloved by the garage rock crowd for their signature early breakup on both guitar and harmonica. No headroom here, folks; just glorious garage rock trash. This one sounds like all Pinecos (really good!) and fires up straight away. It's ungrounded and with all original vintage amps, we suggest that it be seen to by a tech before regular use and a variac to power it safely.
