Here’s a heavy 15” diameter hat single with beautiful patina, late ‘50s ”small stamp.” The edges are extremely smooth. Patina level on the wide surfaces, however, is remarkably dark and unpolished. Weight is 1557 grams suggesting it’s a bottom hat for somewhat louder situations. Maybe this one saw some big band use in the fifties? Who knows where all it’s been. But they protected its edges well. I got it from a blues (& versatile) player who is still working in his seventh decade.
