This is a very rare drum. Black Galaxy is coveted, but almost never shows up on a marching drum. This drum is great example if what makes that era special with all the original parts and in great shape. Features a 3 ply Maple/poplar/Mahogany shell w/ white painted interior, 16x small lugs, 16x tension rods, 2x triple flanged hoops, P-83 strainer & butt, round knob muffler, 15“ snare wires, and Ludwig “WeatherMaster” heads. Even had a date stamp of OCT 26, 1967. There are two original holes for a leg brace. The finish shows some light fading, but some green and red is still present. Chrome is in good shape overall, with some minor pitting on some ligs and subtle corrosion in small spots on the hoops/strainer.
