Pioneer SX-2000 Tube Receiver 1970 - Silver

Restored Pioneer SX-2000 Tube receiver.

Overseas model that was only produced in 1970.

Is 40 watts @ 8 ohms.

Tube complement is 3 x 12AX7/ECC83, 2 x 6AN8, 4 x 7868, 3 x 6BA6, 1 x 6BE6, 2 x 6AU6. Over 90 parts total were replaced. Can caps, small value caps (oil and electrolytic), and any ceramic caps directly in the audio path. Balance pot replaced with a new Alps unit. Replaced the tuning string and made sure the pointer was accurate. Replaced bulbs with warm-glo LED. Found a few crispy wires and swapped those out with teflon-coated high voltage wiring. A large number of the resistors were out of tolerance, so replaced them all. Outputs tested to ensure they were a matched quad (and still at NOS levels). FM works, could use a FM (tuner) alignment.
