This is a great classic early Mesa Boogie Mark IIA combo. Everyone who comes to my studio lusts after this thing!

IT'S IN GREAT SHAPE FOR A NEARLY 50-YEAR-OLD AMP! Works perfectly, but does have a couple of cosmetic issues as you can see from the photos. A little bit of peeling of the Tolex at the corners, and probably the main one is that the pilot light lens is actually broken, but still lights up and looks fine. I was going to replace it but they actually don't make these this color at Mesa boogie anymore so I thought I'd leave it original and if you wanna change it you can order a blue one from them directly. I did order some knobs for the graphic EQ. Strangely three of them pushed on and 2 wouldn't so I've got two more on order and should be here before I have to ship out.

As you can see in the photos at the end comes with a mesa boogie channel switching foot Switch which I bought for it.
The only reason I'm selling it is because my studio is too crammed with stuff and I have other hundred watt combos that I use as well otherwise I wouldn't sell it because it's really a great amp! Oh, and the reason I've got it listed as '78-'80 is that I pulled the chassis to try and date it properly because there's no serial number on it or any other markings (which is not uncommon for this early lot of amps from Mesa). Typically, the tube types are written on the chassis in black sharpie as is the the date of manufacture usually, but it isn't there for some reason. Whoever did it just forgot to put it on. I called boogie about this and talked to them and they were like, "Well, I guess you've got a really unique amp there!" But they did say it's gotta be late 70s or very early 80s and that's the best guess anyone can make at this time. I'm thinking that if you were to look at pots they might be dated I didn't think to do that at the time that I the chassis out.
Anyway the important part is it sounds amazing! I would say the fan is a little loud and I don't use it most of the time I've never had an overheating problem but it's also there and works perfectly. Great Amp! A lot-a lot of tones and very responsive to different guitars! Grab a classic if it's what you're looking for! It's a monster!!! Enjoy!!!
