RCA GE 5R4GY ST Brown Base Coke Bottle Balanced Rectifier Vacuum Tube AT1000 tested tNOS 1945-1965

This listing is for ONE full-wave rectifier vacuum tube in the ST Coke-Bottle shape. It has a brown micanol base.   We have various vintage USA brands, presently GE and RCA. All have black plates. Some have a double-getter design, while others use only one getter.  Your tube has been fully tested on an Amplitrex AT1000 with like new, tNOS results. Here's what that means: to qualify for this listing, the forward voltage in the two sections must be balanced within 10% of each other, and that voltage must be between 31 and 37 Volts for both sections. Unbalanced and used-testing tubes are available in a separate listing at a significant discount.

The RCA dual-bottom-getter variant is in high demand, and it is listed separately at a premium.

Some kids, seeking the perfect amount of sag, use the 5R4 in the place of a 5U4 although the heater current of 5R4 is less. This tube is also compatible with amps designed around the 5Y3 but this, tube due to its larger size, has a greater power handling than the 5Y3.

The Amplitrex tests for gas, shorts, and leakage as well. The tube you receive is guaranteed against failure for 60 days after purchase.
