The guitar's body, slightly smaller and narrower than typical Dreadnought-style guitars, produces a warm and balanced tone without suffering from unwanted boominess. It's select pressure-tested solid Cedar top provides warmth and clarity at lower volumes, while the Canadian Wild Cherry body gives it a warm and full-sounding midrange, halfway between that of Rosewood and Mahogany.

The Coastline S12's Silver Leaf Maple integrated set neck provides it with stability and consistency of tuning - essential for withstanding the added stress provided by its extra strings. The guitar also features Seagull's innovative Double Function Truss Rod. Unlike most conventional truss rods, this rod is able to bend in both directions, providing greater ease of adjustment for correcting both under- and over-bowed necks.
