Bass Back Story - Nikki Sixx, a legend among bassists and one of founding members of Motley Crue (perhaps one of the most influential rock bands in history) played a variety of Ovation guitars and basses throughout his musical career. When Nikki approached Ovation about building a custom bass for the RED, WHITE & CRUE Tour, they took on the project with a vengeance and built an acoustic/electric bass that would best reflect Sixx's notorious monster sound. The result, a collaboration between Sixx and Ovation, launched the first Limited Edition acoustic/electric bass that Ovation has ever produced.

This bass is single owner (me) and in EXCELLENT Condition. It features a piezo pickup, bass pre-amp and 3 band EQ for that big, low-end tone. Action is LOW - with no fret buzz, and set-up to D-Standard Tuning (will be shipped with all strings loose.)

NOTE: The NSB778 Bass is similar to the B778, except this model has custom iron cross fingerboard inlays, matching headstock, and black hardware, available was available in Gray Flame Top or Red Flame Top finish, 34 in. scale, mfg. 2006-2013. Serial number on this Red Flame Top is 621092 (2009 production).

This comes with the Custom Hard-Shell Case - also in Excellent Condition - neck adjustment tools, combination lock instructions, and a BRAND-NEW spare pre-amp / tuner.
