I purchased this guitar brand new from a guitar center in Atlanta in approximately 2000 (it appears to have been actually manufactured in 1998 based on the serial number). At the time, I wanted PRS dragon pickups so I purchased new PRS dragon pickups and had them installed by guitar center when I purchased the guitar 25 years ago. So the guitar currently has the dragon pickups, not McCarty pickups. Unfortunately, I’m unable to find the original McCarty pickups. I played the guitar regularly for a few years after purchasing it, but the guitar has NOT been played regularly for approximately the last 20 years. It has sat in the case and only taken out rarely. It is in excellent condition overall. The most unfortunate “ding” was the chip in the finish you can see pictured on the bottom horn. This happened when trying to navigate the guitar around a small NYC apartment. That one was unfortunate. Other than that it’s very clean with only a couple other very minor blemishes which I have tried to show via the photos. The guitar functions perfectly including electronics, tuning, etc. I have weight this guitar several times and most often came up with 7 lbs 9 ounces, although a few of the measurements have come in at a maximum of 8 lbs 2 oz and a few measurements came in at 7 lbs 7oz and 7 lbs 5 oz. But I feel most comfortable with the 7lbs 9 oz estimate for the weight. Anecdotally it does Not feel especially heavy to me when playing standing up.
