How do I connect it? Does it require power?



This is an extension switch for the mastermind gear - it connects to the “ext sw” jack with a stereo (TRS) cable. The power comes from the PBC, so no extra power cable needed. One cable and you’re ready to go!



What does the switch do?



The functions of the switches are programmed in the editor just like any of the other switches. The main difference is that the LEDs are always one color. I tend to use one of mine as tap tempo and one to control my amp channels, but you can do whatever you want! Refer to your manual for the functions of the “extension switch”.



What color LEDs are used?



I’ve been using red, orange and yellow/amber LEDs so far, as they meet the voltage requirements of the controller (<3 v). Sorry - blue and purple (violet) are not supported by the controller.


Why are the switches off-center?



Beta testers liked the switches setup to match the offset on the PBC6X. If you would prefer centered switches, please request so by direct message and allow a couple more days for fabrication.

How wide is the switch?

The width of all three Mastermind AUX switches is 1.75” (44,45 mm). This is a reasonable balance of ergonomics and aesthetics without taking more space (side to side) than a typical dual-switch mini enclosure. However, we done wider and narrower (down to about 1”!) so just reach out for a custom size.
