For sale is an excellent condition Mitsubishi X86-C ProDigi digital reel to reel machine. This particular variant (-C) means that it is also compatible with tapes made for its predecessor machine, the Mitsubishi X80.
This machine was recapped about two years ago, but there is an issue where when the audio cards are plugged in, it pulls the power rails down. An expert on the X86 advised me that it may be the DAC chips, but the machine was being tech'd in Detroit among several others and as the lowest priority deck, it was set aside and all machines were brought back to Philly without it being completed, so it needs another look, but it's close to fully functional.
I will consider donating this to a government archiving organization for repair or as a spares unit to their existing X86, X86HS, or X86-C machines.
