This is an ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer with both satin and gloss qualities that highlight the natural beauty of the tonewoods. With an even smoother texture than the original nitrocellulose satin finish, the Vintage Gloss features a hand-sprayed soft, silky coating that gives each guitar a worn-in vintage feel and tone, with a modern sleek appearance.

Solid Sitka Spruce Top with Solid Indian Rosewood Back and Sides:

With refined features and a premium sound, the D-50 Standard features a solid Sitka spruce top with solid Indian rosewood back and sides, for a rich powerful sound with exceptional warmth and complexity.

This reintroduction of the D-50 Standard manifests vintage charm with timeless appointments such as a tortoiseshell celluloid pickguard, white ABS binding, checkered back center strip inlay and Guild's peak logo inlay on the headstock.

Scalloped Adirondack Spruce Bracing:

Guild adds scalloped Adirondack bracing for power, nuance and responsiveness. Combined with a Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, this bracing provides a punchy tone with smooth top end.

Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge

An Indian rosewood fingerboard caps the comfortable C-profile Mahogany neck. Premium materials such as an Indian rosewood bridge, 20:1 open-gear tuners, and a hand-cut bone nut and saddle finish off the D-50 Standard.

Available in Natural and Antique Burst Finish Options:

In addition to the classic Natural finish, Guild's D-50 Standard is available in a classic Antique Burst finish. Each D-50 Standard ships with a Guild archtop wood case with built-in Humicase humidification system.
