Bourgeois OMS Custom 12-Fret Bearclaw Italian Spruce

The Bourgeois OMS employs an intriguing 12-fret Orchestra Model design with a long, 25.5" scale. This design pushes the bridge further towards the lower bout, which opens up bass frequencies and provides a looser, more open sound all around. Nevertheless, this guitar retains all the focus and clarity that make an Orchestra Model so desirable.

This OMS Custom was built with a Bearclaw Italian Alpine Spruce and Indian Rosewood back and sides. This is a versatile OM that responds quickly and accurately, which gives it an expressive, touch-sensitive feel. Notes bloom as they should with a light, fingerstyle touch, but it cuts through and sings when you push it with a flat pick. The Rosewood back and sides provide plenty of sparkle and detail, and the 12-fret design balances out the trebles with impressive bass response. 

Like every Bourgeois guitar, the workmanship feels absolutely top notch with every detail executed on the highest level. A good instrument starts with the right materials, and the Bearclaw top on this OMS Custom is an absolute stunner. The back and sides show nice book match, too. Elegant Ivoroid binding—with Extra Vintage appointments like the rosette and Zig-Zag backstrip—provide the perfect accent. As expected, the playability is exceptional, and the nut measures 1-3/4" with finger style-friendly 2-5/16" spacing at the bridge. This OMS Custom is an impressive guitar that could suit a wide variety of genres and playing styles.
