The violin ships in a case to protectvit during transport. This mid 19th century violin has normal wear for a violin that age, but it is in excellent condition. It has been restored to its original greatness. It has highly figured grain from the spruce top, flamed maple back and sides and neck. It features an ebony fingerboard and rosewood pegs. The tailpiece was replaced with an appropriate one to give it a look that pops out and retains the wonderful warm tone and luster that was intended by the maker. This is a truly wonderful instrument that will come to life in the right hands.
