As per the Gibson serial # 72229146, this is a 1979 Gibson ES-335TD CRR (Country Rock Regular) with leather strap and the original hardshell case. This is 1 of only 300 that Gibson made of this specific model, other than a stereo version CRS.

Please note that I inherited this guitar from a longtime friend and bandmate who passed away a few years ago and was the original owner. As far as I know, everything is original as when the day he bought it new in 1979. To my knowledge, he never had any repairs or work done on this guitar other than changing strings when he needed to. I have 1980's video of him playing it in our group and his previous group. The last time he played it was in 1986 when he purchased a new G&L Skyhawk. He put the Gibson 335 in storage and no longer used it. The guitar has not been played and has been in climate-controlled storage since then for the past 39 years. Sentimentally, I consider its overall condition as excellent. I know that my friend always took very good care of his instruments. However, I am not an expert and I estimate the marketplace would consider it in very good condition. Other than needing new strings and having some normal wear and blemishes from being used the first 7 years of its existence, it seems to be in fantastic condition for being 46 years old!

I am not a store owner or in the music business. I am an individual that is ready to let go of the sentiment and hopefully find a good home for it with someone who appreciates it as my friend did. I am selling this guitar and accessories per my description and photographs "as is" with no guarantees or warranties implied or expressed.

If there is something I've missed or you would like more photos of the guitar, please message me.

I prefer local pick up here in St. Louis, Mo., but will ship anywhere in the US (48) states. If my actual shipping cost turns out to be less than my estimate of 195.29, then I will gladly and immediately refund you the difference.

Shipping Supplement 7/6/26: I have lessened the estimated shipping from $195.29 to $141.55 via UPS. This is estimating the worse case scenario shipping from St. Louis to either cities on the west coast or the east coast. If you live anywhere in between, the cost should be less. Again, if my actual cost turns out to be less, then I will gladly and immediately refund you the difference.

To all of the 617 people (as of today 7/6/26) that have viewed my listing and to all of the 34 people who are currently keeping a watch on it, I thank you again for your curiosity and possible interest.

Sincerely,

That Guy
