This beautiful guitar was made from a 100-year-old maple that was cut down in my friends yard 30 years ago in North Idaho. The slab was then stored till now. I then planed out the piece I wanted and let it dry to the correct humidity before cutting out the tele shaped body. It's one piece of spalted maple with much figuring, some burling, tiger stripe and more. Pictures don't do it justice, there is so much movement going on in the light. The body is natural and been hand oiled and sanded, I like the natural feel of the wood. It can be sealed with any type of clear finish (lacquer or poly) over this type of finish, if you wanted a gloss or satin look. I used a custom ordered Warmoth "59" maple neck with gold perloid Maltez cross inlays on an ebony fingerboard (9.5-14 radius) and a matching gold perloid pickguard. It has all gold Fender brand hardware and Goto tuners and the gold mounting screws for pickups. It has no pickups installed as I wanted to leave this choice to the new owner so they could create a personal tone, so many choices. This guitar weighs 8lb. 12oz. without the pickups installed, so I'm guessing close to 9lb. total. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. Thanks for your consideration. Moe .
