Alembic Spoiler SMB 5-String Bass 1989 - 5A Quilted Maple Top

his fantastic bass is truly a closet classic! There are minimal signs of wear for a bass almost 35 years old. All parts and electronics appear to be original. With a mahogany body, a 7-piece neck of maple and purple heart, an ebony fretboard, and a jaw-dropping 5A Quilted Maple top... this bass is the very definition of "boutique".

Shallow D-shaped medium scale neck (32") with minimal fret-wear. Dual truss rods, brass bridge, saddle, and nut. The purity of tone and sustain is astounding and with the Q-filter, your tone-shaping is limitless.

There's a small, hairline crack in the bridge pickup wing and two very small dings on the edge of the headstock that measure around 1 mm. Both are pictured and neither affects the functionality or tone of the bass.
