Circa 1890 A. C. Fairbanks & Co. Style 1 "Electric" 5-string Banjeaurine == This very rare banjo features a 21" scale 17-fret neck with 12 1/2" head, spun-over rim, scalloped "Electric" tone ring, peghead back overlay with stinger -- I've only found one other 5-string Electric with a short-scale neck but it had a 9" pot -- Vega and SSS banjeaurines had a shorter 19 1/2 - 3/4" scale == Matching serial numbers of "006" (or 900) -- "A.C. Fairbanks & Co. Makers Boston. Mass." and "Electric" stamped on dowel == Mostly restored and now playable, it was rusty with an old solid but ugly heel repair -- it is still missing the MOP inlays and has some white paint in the inlay cut-outs == Heel repair is very smooth and not very noticeable now, metal polished up nicely -- I included a couple of "before" pictures for reference (last 3 pictures) == 7 or 8 non-original tension rods/nuts, tuners also non-original == Worldwide ==
