A stunning Froggy Bottom K Deluxe featuring an Adirondack spruce top and some downright spectacular curly koa for the back and sides, setup with optimal playing action and in excellent++ condition. All materials on this guitar are first-class, with the spruce featuring a nice parallel grain free from run-out and the koa displaying some of the most extravagant figuring imaginable. The Honduran mahogany neck is a comfortable rounded-over V shape, not too deep but a solid handful.
This is a lovely sounding guitar, with a quick response to both the pick and fingers, and the pleasant upper midrange of the koa provides a nice complement to the tight, articulate Adirondack spruce. Cosmetic appointments are elegant but tasteful and include an abalone rosette, abalone back stripe, flamed maple binding, and a unique scrimshaw heel cap with a floral design. Condition is almost entirely unblemished, the only indication of wear being a small foggy patch in the finish on the back lower bout, about the width of a business card, only visible from certain angles under specific light. There are no finish dings, scuffs, chips, or dents that I can find. Frets are in great shape, with only a slight hint of wear on the first four frets beneath the second string only.

About us:
At Dusty Strings, we thoroughly inspect each new and used instrument prior to offering it for sale and take whatever steps we believe are necessary to ensure it will perform its best for most players. Our standards are exceptionally high. For new instruments, that means we make minor adjustments as needed, for good playability, but that instruments with fundamental flaws are returned to their manufacturer without going for sale. For used instruments, we perform whatever cleaning, restringing, adjustments, or repairs that are needed for them to perform their best.
The result of our attention to detail is that when you first take your newly purchased instrument out of its case, it will be ready to play. Does this mean the instruments will satisfy your particular sensibilities or account for settling into its new environment? Perhaps not, but those issues fall in the realm of custom setup, something that our professional repair shop is happy to help with if you live within visiting distance. If you live outside our area, we’d recommend a visit to your favorite local luthier, who will be able to help.
