WHAT A NICE FIND - Good old 'Made in USA' Vintage '57 CONN Director Shooting Star Alto Sax Alto Saxophone


 Buy THIS instead of some cheap new import!!! Shares most of the features of the same era's revered 6M 'Naked Lady' minus some different key shapes and the stenciled woman with various degrees of clothing/cleavage!
 Appearance is pretty much what you'd expect from an intermediate/semi-pro level horn that has been played FOR 60 PLUS YEARS & casually handled. Wear is confined mostly to THE 'whoops, dropped the horn' minor ding ON THE LOWER BOW. (LAST PICS). Lower rear key guard appears to have been partially re-soldered - passable job, won't win a beauty contest. At worst, there are a few minor dings here and there rather than crushing bends and serious dents. Cosmetic wear is otherwise within limits for the usual instrument contact points. Pads are worn but functional. Suggest re-padding to bring out the horn's full potential. MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE TO ADJUST OR REPLACE NECK CORK TO CONFORM TO YOUR FAVORITE MOUTHPIECE - typical potential need.PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION & review pics.
    I play some tenor sax - not really great, mind you - and tested the horn.k. Got all the notes, top to bottom - LOTS OF PUNCH! If I can, you can! Again - new pads would work miracles here but probably can get a bit more use from these in the meantime.
