Introduced in 2015, the True Historic series represented Gibson Custom Shop's most accurate recreation of original late-1950s Les Pauls at the time. By extensively studying vintage instruments, Gibson refined the materials, construction methods, plastics, hardware, top carve, and overall specifications to achieve a level of authenticity far beyond previous Historic Reissue models.
