David Garibaldi has retired from Tower of Power! David's innovative grooves propelled the band and helped define their unique funky sound. After an amazing 55 year run, he's putting away his Tower of Power sticks.

His ground breaking work with Tower of Power and his long list of instructional books and videos, have established him as one of the most influential drummers of our time.

David's Signature model snare drum was first released in 1995. It's been his go-to snare drum ever since. This particular snare is one of several of David's snare drums we received directly from his personal collection.

David played this snare in live performances and recordings with Tower of Power from 2005 through his retirement from the band in 2024. David and his techs take meticulous care of his gear. This drum remains in exceptional condition. There are clear signs of use, but no damage or excessive wear. Nothing is broken, altered or damaged.

The snare is set up and tuned exactly as David last used it, with a stage played coated Remo Ambassador on top with a taped on Moon Gel dampener. Remo Snare Side on the bottom. All of the bottom lugs have Lug Locks. David included an additional signed Remo 14" Coated Ambassador.

Made in Japan. 100% original. 14" x 3.5"Brass shell. 3.0 mm MIJ Yamaha Zinc diecast hoops. Original Yamaha snare wires. Blue Nickel Alloy Finish. 45 degree bearing Edges.

We've also included David's Tower of Power touring case and a stage used pair of David's signature model sticks.
