The JEP1120S Compensating Euphonium features a traditional 3+1 valve configuration with compensating system. The hand crafted 12.2 inch silver plated yellow brass bell produces a warm, resonant tone with great clarity and focus. The JEP1120S is suitable for all performance applications.
A compensating euphonium allows for corrections to tuning definciencies that are present in non-compensating systems, often resulting in a lack of ability to play a fully tuned chromatic scale. The compensating system allows a player to play unrestricted in any setting.
