This is a short scale, 12-fret parlor- or 3/4-size Regal-branded guitar made by Harmony in Chicago in 1964. While Regal was a manufacturer in the 1880s, the name has been bought and sold several times over the years, and at one point was licensed by Fender who marketed these guitars in the '60s.

Solid spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides, rosewood board, ladder braced, 24-1/4" scale, 1-3/4" nut, adjustable truss rod. It measures 36-3/4" overall, the body is 17-3/4" x 9-1/2" upper bout, 8" waist, 13" lower bout, 3-5/8" deep at the end pin. All original except for a new slightly oversized bridge (I snipped off the decorative bolt heads and glued them in to match the original). Typical vintage bumps and bruises, a small cleated edge crack on the back, but the neck is straight, very low action and the original frets are like new, no other repairs or issues. Weighs 3.5-lbs.

This little guitar is really sweet. With new D'Addario 12s it's has a slinky feel and a loud, bright, jangly sound. Comes with padded gig bag.

Used items are sold "as pictured." My descriptions of age, condition, specifications, materials and provenance are my best assessments of an item, or they come from the manufacturers' original product descriptions. In addition, vintage instruments might show the typical wear and tear from years of being played and gigged. I do my best to identify any significant flaws, repairs or other issues, and I'm happy to answer your questions and send you additional photos. But "what you see is what you get." Thanks.
