Offered here is an exceptionally rare 14" Slingerland Artist Model 3-ply snare drum in its original factory multi-banded finish featuring Red Sparkle Pearl with a Black Diamond Pearl center band. This is not a rewrap, not a custom creation, and not someone's garage project: this is a genuine factory-original Slingerland drum from the 1960s.

In over 25 years of buying and selling vintage drums, I have only encountered one other example of this snare in this finish combination, and that drum already resides in a private collection.

This drum originated from a Radio King Windsor outfit and is believed to have been a special-order drum, possibly for a school, church, or institutional customer. Whatever its history, it is one of the most unique Slingerland snares you'll likely ever come across.
