This is a naturally heavy aged made in Japan JV era Strat pickguard for ‘57 reissue old style model guitar in White. The wear and old ghosting tan lines from previous stickers is original wear and the guard has a lot of cosmetic patina, but is in good working condition with no warping or cracks. At one point it was painted black which has mostly been removed, leaving some residual black streaks behind. I believe this is a 1982-1983 JV pickguard.
It features single ply construction and 8 hole pickguard screw pattern. The beveled edge has a nice vintage round over and the 3 holes for pots are for metric size micro Fender Japan pots. They have never been enlarged, and therefore CTS pots will not fit them. There is a slightly enlarged opening on the treble side of the neck pocket route, but there are no other modifications.
Includes a full outfit of Made in USA aged stainless steel pickguard screws.
