For sale we have a 2013 Peerless Retromatic P3 with Stetsbar Pro II Trem in Ivory finish with original Peerless branded hardshell case. Made in South Korea. Built like a 335 with a solid center block but slightly smaller, larger than a Les Paul and a bit more Jazzy. The Retromatic is a nice in-between and an extremely versatile instrument. A nicely made guitar at a great price. The guitar is in excellent used condition and shows very well. Most of the visible wear is on the backside of the instrument with light surface scratches in the clear coat around body (difficult to photograph by did our best) as well as some light scratches on the backside of the headstock. There are a handful of small pinhead sized dings on the face of the body as well but they are quite difficult to see unless you’re right up close looking for them. Some strum wear is visible on the pickguard and on the bridge pickup surround. Structurally sound with no cracks, breaks or repairs. The pickups have been replaced with a set of GFS humbuckers (original set included in sale) and the tuners have been upgraded to Hipshot EZ Lock Tuners. The old tuner mounting screw holes are just visible (see photo). The Retromatic P3 features a 25” scale length, semi-hollow body with a bass side F-Hole and a single cutaway, black single-ply pickguard with “Peerless” script logo and pinstripe, equipped with a pair of GFS humbucking pickups (a Dream 180 in the neck position and a Bigmouth in the bridge position), master volume and master tone controls with knurled chrome knobs, 3-way pickup selector switch and a 6-way Varitone with rotary knob featuring 5 tonal options (off in position 1, fully counter clockwise) and a Stetsbar Pro II Tremolo system with adjustable ABR-1 style bridge. The medium sized neck features a comfortable “C” shape profile measuring .840” deep at the first fret and .940” deep at the twlefth fret. Width at the nut measures 1 11/16”. The Rosewood fingerboard features a 14” radius, pearl inlaid split block fret markers and 22 original medium jumbo frets. The frets show almost no visible play wear and have tons of life left. The neck is straight and plays great up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or buzzing. The truss rod is accessible beneath the Deco style “Retromatic” branded truss cover, it turns smoothly in both directions and functions perfectly. The guitar weighs in at 8 lbs. 14.5 oz. Will be properly packed with care prior to shipment. In-store trades only. Please reach out with any further questions. Thanks for looking.
