ALVAREZ 5088c ARTIST SERIES ACOUSTIC GUITAR—SPECIAL PEDIGREE—AMAZING PLAYER

Here is a one-of-a-kind vintage steel string acoustic cutaway Alvarez 5088c Artist Series acoustic guitar in immaculate condition. Some very minor pick/finger strum brush marks on the pickguard but otherwise clean and gorgeous. Being offered by a recording artist who used it for years as a songwriting companion. Mainly lived out its days at the artist's ranch, summer homes or studios and was lovingly maintained by the artist's guitar tech. This instrument sounds light years better than any Alvarez we've ever heard. Truly a special guitar that was well-loved with mucho mojo from creating great music and having been played by the best.

Originally picked out at the factory and was specially built cutaway with choice curly mahogany back, quarter sawn mahogany sides, luthier grade (possibly Adirondack) spruce top with silk-and-steel strings. The pearl and abalone inlays on the fretboard and bridge pins are simply beautiful. Such a clean and well-made example of the best Alvarez has ever made. Such a fun and easy guitar to play with amazing tone. Definitely prefers lighter strings and the action feels really nice where it is.

The artist just wants to find this a great new home, so it's priced to sell. Worth every penny. Comes with original hard case. Proceeds go to arts education. You may see this advertised elsewhere on SoCal Craigslist or FB Marketplace for a lower price and that's because we have to cover the fees selling here. Rest assured that it's the same guitar.
