Vintage 1964 Fender Concert Amp
I acquired this amp from a local music store that had it in their store for 25+ years. It was all original except for the power tubes. I had the amp serviced and replaced the original pilot light bulb that died, the old Mallory caps with F+T caps, and the opto-coupler for the vibrato circuit since the original went out. Also, I had the power cord changed to a three-prong cord.
The speakers are all original as well. The amp has gold 10k5 oxfords which are quite rare... typically you'll see the black 10k5s. One of them had a tear in the cone and was repaired at one point but the repair fell apart over the years, so I purchased a new Weber speaker to replace it. I will reinstall the original speaker and keep the Weber for this listing, so you'll get the 4 original speakers.
The remaining 3 original speakers can still push TONE! I would suggest having them reconned or replaced because they are flubbing a bit when pushed into overdrive.
This amp has that unmistakable black panel fender sound in spades! I have several other amps that I use regularly, so I figured I'd move on this vintage beauty to another collector who can add it to their collection and give it some action.
I'm in no hurry to sell and would be perfectly happy to keep this in my collection as well, so only reasonable offers will be considered.
