Buffet R13 Bb soprano clarinet in original case and leather case cover. Includes the original Buffet Crampon acrylic mouthpiece. Except for the first two tone hole pad cups (E/B and D/A), all the pads on upper joint are cork pads. The remaining pads are double bladder pads. They are in very good condition with no sign of staining or wear.

Nickel plating is very good with only some touch wear seen on the upper joint G#/Ab key. No cracks seen on the wood bodies.

Cork tenons hold joints securely.

Serviced on 5-31-2026 for a C-O-A service (Cleaning-Oiling-Adjusting). Key bumpers added as needed. Keys adjusted and regulated. One bladder pad at the upper joint tone hole (E/B) key cup was replaced.

Serial number on the clarinet is in the 423XXX series. Both serial numbers on lower and upper joints match. I estimate 1995 or 1996 as the year of manufacture based on the serial number.

Case hinge doesn't fully open to 90 degrees. It needs some manual assistance to open up to about 60 degrees. It appears that the hinges are warped to prevent the case lid to go all the way up to 90 degrees. But it is manageable in my opinion to leave it alone and use it the way it is.

Clarinet has been play tested. All notes can be played and heard clearly. No leaky pads. The clarinet plays well and feels comfortable.
