Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a high quality Electro Voice 626A dynamic cardioid microphone made during the 1970's & 80's which is currently set at High Z. Made in Buchanan, Michigan this little stick mic comes in it's original sage green painted finish and it's in immaculate condition but it also comes with the original 312 model mic clip & cable. This will make an excellent mic for general broadcasting or recording purposes as it was intended. These make very good harp mics as well due to it's high Z setting.

Pic # 2 shows this very model in an older E.V catalog I have showing it's basic characteristics.

This is the first 626A model mic I have had to offer in many months as they seem to sell quickly.

This mic has been tested and has a perfect working element with strong output. A very nice mid range tone that is mostly void of bass. The 626A is a lite weight all metal design that is appx 6 1/4 inches long X 1 1/2 inches wide at the front grill.

The 626 & 627 series are a very popular and affordable dynamic cardioid microphone that was lite weight and very rugged. The 627 was made from the late 1960's into the 1980's I believe before being discontinued and had a pretty long run. Not sure exactly how long the 626A was sold but probably close to the same amount of years. These tend to hold up very well so long as they were stored in a temperature controlled climate I find. They are a solid rugged design.

This microphone is in superb condition with virtually no wear. The front grills are free of dents, tarnish or odors. The mic has a new inner foam screen (pop filter) which needed to be replaced. The E.V label looks excellent and the on / off switch slides smooth with zero issues. Please let the detailed pics be your guide.

The E.V model mic clip is in excellent condition and works great for this microphone. It gives the user a wide degree of tilt up and down as needed. It has a side thumb screw to adjust the tension easily and quickly. The clip will screw onto any desk or floor stand you have as well.

The cable is appx 16 feet long making it ideal for stage work. It's soft, pliable and shows zero wear. The cable has a standard male stereo 1/4 inch end connector and comes with the mono male 1/4 inch end connector making it suitable for both situations.

Overall this 626A is physically a true 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10. Not sure that this one was ever even used?
