Vintage RARE 1925 Prewar The Gibson TB-2 Tenor Banjo Original Rest Pickguard Hardshell Case

A Really Cool Pre War 1920's 4 string Gibson TB-2Tenor Banjo with original rest, Pickguard and the original Hardshell Case ...

This Banjo is all original but the 10 1/2 inch head and the replaced bridge. They were missing when we got it. We had our Luthieradded the new bridge and installed a new natural cowhide head on this one. We didn't want a synthetic head on it... Otherwise, it has the original tuners, deluxe Tailpiece, hand rest, back cover and Pickguard. Check out that Pickguard..No cracks ...really cool..This cool banjo has the 22 lugs and the Nick Lucas Fret Marker inlays. This Banjo is in fantastic shape. ..check those pics.

The Banjo is from the 1920's. Only those years had The Gibson on the headstock. This banjo has some numbers of 8077-5 stamps inside the rim. Not sure what they means. See pic 14. We are calling this one a 1925. Its one of the the 1920's years from our research.

Our Tech did a great job setting this cool banjo up. Great action that plays like a breeze. Its really loud! Nice low action and ready to play. He also installed the natural skin head and did a great job!

I don't know much about Banjos so please ask plenty of questions. I answer them all to the best of my ability..

The Case is as nice as the Banjo. Even the original handle is in place here. The Royal Purple interior is awesome. No funny smells here. It is a great original Hardshell case for this cool banjo..
