The MXR M269SE Carbon Copy Bright is a variation on the famous Carbon Copy delay effect pedal. The name says it all; this version offers a brighter sound with extra sparkling echoes. The chips are unchanged and still offer the warm sound of the analog Bucket Brigade technology. Thanks to the new circuit, this pedal responds perfectly to the dynamics in your playing, so that the notes almost sing out of your amplifier. An additional advantage of a bright sounding effect pedal is that the number of repetitions also seems larger. In addition, you can use the Bright perfectly in combination with the original Carbon Copy, for a unique mix of warmth and sparkle.

On the M269SE Carbon Copy Bright you control the length of the delay using the Delay knob. You can set the delay time up to 600 milliseconds! 'Regen' stands for regeneration. This allows you to determine the number of repetitions. Then you can use the Mix knob controls the ratio between your dry guitar signal and the effect. What sets the Carbon Copy apart from many other delay effect pedals is its ability to modulate. Thanks to two internal potentiometers, you can adjust the width and rate, for a subtle or extreme modulation effect. If you don't want to use the pedal for a while, none of your signal is lost, because the Carbon Copy Bright is completely true bypass.

Dunlop brought together effects guru Jeorge Tripps and engineer Bob Cedro in 2008. They then developed a series of effects pedals, including the Carbon Copy.
